Fundraising

Marlow RC's Fire and Building Fund is raising money to allow Marlow Rowing Club to continue and rebuild after the major clubhouse fire of 3rd August 2011. Although insured, the club will need to raise significant funds to secure their site and rebuild.

We are therefore launching this appeal for funds to assist the club both now in the short term, and also towards our longer term goals of emerging from this fire better than before and with facilites this community amateur sports club can be proud of.

Because we are a community amateur sports club, we can collect Gift Aid on any donations you make out of individually taxed income (individuals, sole traders, partners but not Ltds/Plcs). This is really valuable to us as it adds 20% to your donation, so if you can please fill out these declarations (you need to confirm that you paid enough UK income tax to cover the 20%).

Thank you for your support.

The Club is now on the brink of a fantastic new era for sport for all the people Marlow.  We currently have the opportunity to purchase the land and to develop the facilities at its ground in Pound Lane, Marlow. A total of £1.2million is required to complete this first phase of activity. We are looking for individuals, companies or trusts to help us bring this dream to a reality.

Raising money for Borlase Rowing and for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Borlase Rowing

Its sole purpose is to assist with financial and physical resources in order to provide the children with equipment and assistance in order to acheive their greatest potential.

Hi and a massive thanks from all the Borlase rowers for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page! We are rowing on ergos for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for new boats and for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The club is entirely self-funded through donations, which cover our day to day running costs. However, we REALLY need extra funds to purchase new equipment. We have had some fantastic rowing successes this year despite our ageing fleet of boats (the average age of our boats is 17 years). This includes breaking a course record at the 2011 Henley Royal Regatta, 4 medals at the National Schools Regatta and 10 medals at the National Rowing Championships.  We also had two students picked by GB Rowing to compete in the Coupe de la Jeunesse and the World Junior Rowing Championships, where both won silver.

New boats will enable more of us to get out on the water in safe, robust, modern boats, giving everyone a greater sense of pride in our equipment and appearance at events.  15% of all money we raise will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust so please, please, please give generously!

Thank you
