Support us

Each year the demand for our support continues as Service men and women, young and old, call on us for assistance. There are many ways you can help including making a donation, volunteering your time, participating in a fundraising event and supporting the Poppy Appeal.

Poppy Appeal 2010

It is one of the best known and supported campaigns in the calendar and each year the nation shows its support for the Legion's work by giving generously to the Poppy Appeal.

ScannappealLocal charity Scannappeal's new digital breast screening appeal has been launched by  its  Principal Patron, Miss Cilla Black.

The appeal is for £500,000 to fund equipment for the breast screening service at Wycombe Hospital and the mobile unit that tours sites based in the local community, screening women aged from 47-73.  Digital images are exceptionally sharp, making diagnosis more accurate, and will mean a quicker examination and lower radiation dose for 23,000 local women each year.

There are lots of ideas on this website on how you can get involved.
Please take a look and help make a difference.   www.scannappeal.org.uk

The DEC has been uniting the UK's leading humanitarian agencies in their efforts to finance humanitarian relief in poorer countries since 1963.

Borlase Rowing

Hi and a massive thanks from all the Borlase rowers for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page! We are rowing on ergos for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for new boats and for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The club is entirely self-funded through donations, which cover our day to day running costs. However, we REALLY need extra funds to purchase new equipment. We have had some fantastic rowing successes this year despite our ageing fleet of boats (the average age of our boats is 17 years). This includes breaking a course record at the 2011 Henley Royal Regatta, 4 medals at the National Schools Regatta and 10 medals at the National Rowing Championships.  We also had two students picked by GB Rowing to compete in the Coupe de la Jeunesse and the World Junior Rowing Championships, where both won silver.

New boats will enable more of us to get out on the water in safe, robust, modern boats, giving everyone a greater sense of pride in our equipment and appearance at events.  15% of all money we raise will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust so please, please, please give generously!

Thank you
