Marlow is a charming historic town set on the River Thames and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the Chiltern Hills to the north.
Marlow is in Buckinghamshire but is very near the Berkshire border (the River Thames) and about 6 miles from the Oxfordshire border. London lies about 30 miles to the east, Oxford about 25 miles to the north west and Reading about 15 miles to the south west. Marlow's closest towns are High Wycombe 5 miles to the north, Henley-on-Thames to the south west and Maidenhead, Slough and Windsor to the south east and Beaconsfield to the north east.
With access to the M40 in 5 miles and the M4 in 10 miles, Marlow has excellent road connections to London, the M25, Birmingham and the west of England.
Marlow has its own railway station with connections to Bourne End and Maidenhead and hence London and Reading. Rail timetable information.
There are bus connections to Reading, Henley and High Wycombe.

Booker airfield, for light aircraft and helicopters, is within 5 miles whilst Heathrow, with national and international flights is 25 miles away.
Marlow is twinned with Marly-le-Roi on the river Seine in France and has an active Town Twinning Association.
There is a small market in Dean Street on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
A monthly Farmers' Market is held on the first Wednesday of the month from 9am to 1pm in the Causeway, opposite Higginson Park. This is a frendly community affair and is made up of local farmers and food producers; the Marlow Society and the Bucks, Berks and Oxon Wildlife Trust also have a presence. Local schools are encouraged to host cake stalls.
Marlow has its own Millennium Maze in Higginson Park to celebrate the millennium. It is a multi-coloured brick path, laid in the grass and covering an area of about 22 metres diameter and was designed by famous maze-maker Adrian Fisher. At various places in the design, decorative mosaics are used to portray particular images of the history and heritage of Marlow and its significance for the millennium. It was officially opened on 28 October 2000.
