Marlow Regatta, held in June each year, is one of the premier events in the British Rowing calendar.

The annual Royal Swan Upping, the traditional identification and marking of all the swans on the Thames between Sunbury Lock and Abingdon Bridge, passes through Marlow during mid-July.

Swan Upping

The traditional ceremony of Swan Upping during 3rd week of July passes through Marlow (usually on Tuesday/Wednesday) as it identifies and marks new cygnets.

Open National Canoe & Kayak Marathon Championships 2009

The Nationals attract some 700 paddlers and their supporters and families for a weekend of competition. It is the years top event for the flatwater racing world in the UK. Longridge Canoe club are looking forward to welcoming the Racing community to their home in Marlow over the bank holiday weekend. All starts and finishes will be in the area of the events site at Longridge Canoe Club and just Downtream of Marlow town Centre. Excellent spectating opportunities exist from the banks alongside the river in this area. The race courses will run Downstream from Marlow to Borne End and back.
