The Marlow and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce is still very active in the town after nearly 40 years of existence, and represents its wide range of members from the Retailing, Manufacturing and Professional sections of the overall business community.
The current membership of about 100 has been growing in recent years and this reflects the general prosperity of Marlow and the surrounding areas.
The membership of the Marlow and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce includes many specialist shops located in the attractive town centre (ranging from high class boutiques, restaurants, books, arts and crafts, chocolates and cigars) as well as a wide range of small, medium and large manufacturing and distribution companies. The latter are mostly based on the Thames Industrial Estate and attractive Globe Business Park adjacent to the A404, a dual carriageway road that links Marlow with the nearby M40 and M4 motorways, and on to London's Heathrow Airport and central London.
The Marlow Chamber of Trade is a part of the Association of British Chambers of Trade and Commerce and not only seeks to protect and advise its members in legislative and administrative matters, but also to raise the status and influence of the whole business community in the town.
