We are delighted to welcome you to the nominations for Marlow FM's Hidden Gems Awards 2013. As Marlow FM is a local radio station, what better way to celebrate being part of the community than to create awards for some of Marlow's Hidden Gems. This is a great opportunity to focus on the good, caring and positive in our town. We know the categories will cover many people, events, clubs and companies in Marlow.
So, first come the nominations, these need to be submitted by midnight on Wednesday 26th June . Please nominate in as many categories as you like, ensuring you give us your name, email & contact number. Ideally we'd like the same for your nominee if you have them, if you don't, give us as much information as you can. And let us know why you've made the nomination, this will help the awards committee decide who goes on the shortlist, to be revealed on Wednessday July 3rd!

Amateur Arts Award the Year
For the person or group that has contributed most to the artistic world of Marlow. All forms of mainstream art are included
Exclusions: People whom derive their income, or part thereof, through their art
Community Event of the Year
For the best non-commercial, public, community-based event of 2013
Exclusions: Commercial events and events where fundraising is carried out through commercial fundraising companies or means.
Teacher of the Year
For the Teacher or Teaching Assistant voted the best by the public.
Pub or Restaurant of the Year
For the Pub, Restaurant or food outlet that scores highest in the categories of quality, range, atmosphere, facilities and price.
Exclusions: Temporary food outlets, roadside outlets, outlets that are not in existence prior to Sept 1 2012 and for a continuous period of at least 28 days after Sept 1 2012.
Best Customer Service in Marlow
For the person, shop or organisation that scores highest in serving customers, clients or users brilliantly and going the extra mile
Best Cup of Tea 2013
For the café, restaurant, pub, coffee/tea shop, church, open club, coffee morning, school or other that provides the best cup of tea.
Exclusions: temporary drinks outlets, roadside outlets, outlets that are not in existence prior to Sept 1 2012 and for a continuous period of at least 28 days after Sept 1 2012.
Children's or Young Persons' Club of the Year
For the children’s or young persons' club that has provided outstanding support and presence in the community.
Exclusions: commercial companies or operations where the income is for commercial means.
Sports Team of the Year
For the Sports team that has won, improved or achieved most in 2013 irrespective of age.
Exclusions: Teams not in existence prior to Sept 1 2012, Sports clubs.
Services to Charity
For the person or group that has provided outstanding support for a Charity or Charitable Body in areas such as fund-raising, raising of profile, or provision of time, effort and money.
Exclusions: Commercial Companies or foral fund-raising bodies
Services to Community
For the person, group or company that has provided outstanding support to the community. Examples may be running community projects, working with local groups, or giving time, effort or money to support a community project.
Exclusions: Projects not in process or completion prior to Sept 1 2012
For the person or group that has shown outstanding courage when most needed.
Exclusions: Nominations that cite instances or examples prior to Sept 1 2012 that are not on-going
Outstanding Achievement Award
To the Person or Group that warrants the award - at the discretion of the Awards Committee
